Toning and Core Conditioning

The transverse abdominus (core) is the deepest abdominal muscle and stretches across your stomach to your back with attachments to you ribs and pelvis.

With the transverse abdominus having the role of supporting the pelvis and the back, it is no wonder that a weak core is so often the major contributor to back pain. The T.A plays another very important factor in the smooth running of the body, since it fires 40-50 milliseconds before any movement we do, it makes perfect sense that a dysfunctional core will result in a body that doesn't function to its ultimate capability.

How will having a strong core benefit you?

You will have much more stability & better posture in your day to day activities, you probably won't spin in a 360° circle next time you try to push a full grocery trolley and clients will often claim a much improved balance as opposed to their previous skiing holidays.
