Taylor Made Physiques got involved in this charity in September and have since then from Saturday fun training days and from the generosity of our clients and others been able to raise quite a sum of money.
So if you have a large group of people that are keen for a bit of an early morning wake-up in the park. Comprising of general fitness, floor exercises, dynaband work, kick-boxing and abs.
Let T.M.P know, so we can send a fitness professional down to wake you up! Proceeds will go to John's charity.
John's heart is only functioning at 14 per cent on the left hand side, meaning the transplant is urgent!
Diagnosed with congenital heart disease at birth, John is now in desperate need of a heart transplant. As a hospital patient, he is on the list but the operation has to take place in Cape Town, a trip which his family just can't afford.
John and his mother, Roberta will have to live in Cape Town on the hospital premises for at least six months, waiting for a suitable donor. As soon as one is found, the operation will take place and John will have to remain in Cape Town for check-ups to ensure its success. |

Although the state will pay for the transplant, the cost of transport to and from Cape Town, accommodation at the hospital and living expenses for John and his mother are the families responsibility. In this regard they have appealed to the community to help them in any way possible.
Although John has lived with this condition his entire life, he has reached the stage where nothing else can be done to help him, except a transplant. At the age of four months, his parents were told John only had one ventricle. At this stage he had his first operation to build the ventricle up to keep him alive. At four-years-old, John had major surgery in an attempt to take the pressure off his lungs. His heart has since been reassessed and doctors have informed his family that the only thing that is left to do to save John's life is a heart transplant. |
